Research and Development  Physics

Department of Physics involve in the research activities in the following areas: Plasma Physics, Condensed matter physics Nanoscience, High pressure phase transition, Spintronics, x-ray spectroscopy, Nonlinear Optics.

Dr. Uttam Sharma has set up a Plasma Research lab in the institute with a grant Of Rupees 50 lac from Board of Research in Fusion Science & Technology (BRFST), National Fusion Program (NFP), (IPR) Govt. of India.

Dr Uttam Sharma is working on two Projects as a principal Investigator Research project Funded by government agencies

  • Principal investigator in a research project of Rs.42,09,000/- by BRFST, (IPR) Govt. of India on “Development of tungsten coatings and characterization under plasma operations in ADITYA limiter tokamak and in future SST-1 diverter tokamak” Project No NFP-MAT-A12-01 in which Equipment of Rs 25 Lakes is purchased and set up Plasma Laboratory Duration : Two Year.
  • (Principal investigator in a research project of Rs.1,69,000/- by MPCST(M.P.Council of Science & Technology) Govt. of M.P. on “Electron Spin Effect on Transport Phenomenon& its role Nano-Electronic Application” No.3504/CST/R&D/PHY& Engg Sc/2013 dated 6/1/14 Duration: one Year
  • Transport properties of High Tc Superconductors. Principal Investigator: Dr. K. K. Choudhary Funding agency: All India Council For Technical Education, New Delhi File No.: 1-51/FD/CA/(13)/2004-05. Grant: Rs. 10.5 Lac Duration: 2004-2007 (Completed)
  • Theoretical analysis of physical properties of nanocomposite materials. Principal Investigator: Dr. K. K. Choudhary Funding agency: Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology, Bhopal. File No. & Date of Sanction: P-20/07; 01 April 2008 Grant: Rs. 4.32 Lac Duration: 2008-2011 (Completed)
